Municipal commissioner G Veerapandian has said that the Vijayawada Municipal Corporation (VMC) will plant 50,000 plants across the city in the current monsoon season.
Mangaluru: Mangaluru City Corporation in association with the forest department and other organisations will start a drive to plant saplings across the city, said Mangaluru City South MLA J R Lobo.As 50 trees were felled to facilitate the widening of Kankanady-Nandigudde road, the MCC has plans to plant 247 saplings on the stretch, Lobo said here on Tuesday.
